slow readers

It's been a while since I wrote about The Slow Readers Book Club (see Diana's post for a better explanation), but we're back and we have a new book on our reading list: The Cry of the Go-Away Bird by Andrea Eames. Bloggers may be aware that Andrea is *the* awesome Andrea from a cat of impossible colour, and I for one have been wanting to read her book even before it was finished! I just ordered it this weekend, and can't wait for it to arrive.

Got more DVDs from the library. Oh, and out of the ones I borrowed last time, 2 Days in Paris was definitely the one I enjoyed the most. Much funnier than I thought it would be! The Cat's Meow was good too, helped by the fun 1920s costumes to look at. Fame has great music, but there were too many unfinished story lines for my liking.

Still reading Finny. It's taken me a while to get into, but I only have a few more chapters to go now.

unicorn/ dream magazine

If you like flipping through magazines that are beautiful + inspiring + free + online, you need to check out Unicorn/dream magazine. With the first issue just out, Unicorn/dream is an "online magazine about dreams, life, photography, hand made crafts and a bit of vintage and fashion" - which is pretty much a list of everything I love! I'm really excited to have contributed to this issue as well. I designed a few of their ad pages (e.g. those last 2 images). You can also find a little blurb and pic of me (where you can *gasp* actually see my face) somewhere in the mag if you look carefully!

spoonful

This is a delightful new zine that I'm already growing very fond of. I have the first issue, and I must say that I really enjoyed my first Spoonful (hehe). These pictures are some sneak peeks of the second issue, which can be purchased in their online shop or Etsy. This one looks even prettier than the first! It's also nice to know that they're printed on quality 100% recycled stock
